What is life coaching?

Life Coaching is an invaluable tool to help individuals reach peak performance and productivity. It can help you manage anxiety, increase confidence and assertiveness, increase self-awareness, and clarify goals.

The act of life coaching is to help the individual focus on the here and now, and look for solutions to the problems that are impeding their progress. A coach provides tools and resources to enable the individual to achieve success. This could include identifying goals, belief systems, and values that drive behavior. Developing and implementing a plan to achieve goals, and accountability for progress.

Life coaching involves working with the individual to identify their needs and desired outcomes. Coaches may provide direct advice, and help the individual identify their strengths and weaknesses, or help them sort out options for change or problem solving. Coaching is proactive, and seeks to help the individual reach their goals. It is an ongoing process of changing behaviors, attitudes, and beliefs.

Life coaching is not therapy. Coaching is focused on achieving goal orientated success.

Inflection Point Life Coaching

Simon specializes in Inflection Point Life Coaching. This is typically a point in your life where you are asking big questions about your life. One major inflection point usually happens when a person enters their thirties. The other when a person starts to consider a third life career.

Why this focus?

Simon believes that these two inflection points are the hardest to navigate. Having Simon to work with and guide you during these periods can make navigating these life points easier.

The first Inflection Point: Someone entering their thirties, perhaps recently received their first major promotion at work and is asking the big question – ‘Is this what I want to do for the rest of my working life?’ This is a major milestone in a persons life and working alongside Simon to answer this question can have life changing effects.

The second Inflection Point: Someone approaching the end of their career path and wanting to transition to a third life career rather than retire.  Utilizing their existing skills and talents in new and exciting ways is something a lot of people haven’t considered but they know they aren’t ready to retire. Perhaps they are planning this years ahead of time or have had this decision thrust upon them. Whatever the reason working with Simon can reveal a new path for them to follow.

Week Five – Will/Action Plan: Putting milestones into a plan of action

Of course each plan is tailored to each client but this a typical pattern of engagement.
